Not the most obvious choice of travel, trains in Australia
are clean and the most comfortable way to travel overland,
the service and facilities are of a good standard.
Apart from the south east, Australia has a limited network
and do not run to as many destinations as buses.
Interstate railways link the entire east coast from Cairns
to Sydney, and on to Melbourne and Adelaide. Australian trains
won't get you off-the-beaten path; in fact, they'll barely
get you to the beaten path itself. |
